Laser Varicose Vein Surgery

Laser varicose vein surgery, also known as endogenous laser ablation (EVLA), is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicose veins. Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that typically occur in the legs and can cause discomfort, pain, and aesthetic concerns.

During laser varicose vein surgery, a laser fiber is inserted into the affected vein through a small incision or puncture. The laser emits targeted energy that heats and closes off the varicose vein, redirecting blood flow to healthier veins.

What are Varicose Veins?

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that typically occur in the legs. They are a common condition that affects many individuals, particularly women. Varicose veins develop when the valves within the veins that help blood flow back to the heart become weakened or damaged, causing blood to pool in the veins.
