Laser Surgery

The term “laser” stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Ordinary light, such as that from a light bulb, has many wavelengths and spreads in all directions. Laser light, on the other hand, has a specific wavelength. It is focused in a narrow beam and creates a very high-intensity light. Because lasers can focus very accurately on tiny areas, they can be used for very precise surgical work or for cutting through tissue (in place of a scalpel).

Laser surgery, also known as laser-assisted surgery or laser therapy, refers to the use of laser technology in surgical procedures. The laser emits a focused beam of light that can precisely cut, vaporize, or coagulate tissues, offering several advantages over traditional surgical techniques.

Different types of lasers are used in surgery, including carbon dioxide (CO2) lasers, neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) lasers, and erbium lasers. Each laser type has specific properties and is suitable for different applications.

Procedures In Laser Surgery

Laser Piles Surgery also known as laser hemorrhoidectomy or laser hemorrhoidoplasty, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat hemorrhoids. It involves the use of a laser to remove or shrink swollen hemorrhoidal tissue, providing relief from symptoms such as pain, bleeding, itching, and swelling.

Laser Fistula Surgery  also known as laser fistulotomy or laser fistula treatment, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat anal fistulas. It involves the use of laser energy to effectively remove the fistula tract, promote healing, and reduce the risk of recurrence.

Laser Fissure Surgery also known as laser sphincterotomy or laser fissurectomy, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat anal fissures. It involves the use of laser energy to precisely target and remove the affected tissue, promote healing, and relieve the symptoms associated with anal fissures.

Laser Pilonidal Sinus Surgery also known as laser pilonidal sinus treatment, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat pilonidal sinus disease. It involves the use of laser energy to remove the sinus tracts, promote healing, and reduce the risk of recurrence.
